If you have not visited the dentist in a while, or you have been putting off dental restorations, we can provide you with more than one quality restoration in one visit. When you live a busy life with kids and work, it can be hard to set time aside to pamper yourself and to get the necessary health checkups you need.
We know many patients have busy schedules, so we try to make receiving dental restorations as convenient as possible. If you need to improve your smile or correct the function of your teeth, we can provide you with comprehensive and convenient solutions in a timely manner.
Dental Restoration Procedures
Fillings and Bonding
If a patient has a cavity they need to fill or a chipped tooth that needs repair, we can provide the filling and bonding in one visit. Fillings and bonding are dental restorations that do not take long and are also affordable. We can remove the cavity and repair it with a quality, tooth-colored filling.
During an appointment, we can also fill in a tooth chip with our tooth-colored bonding material. If there are any other minor flaws the patient dislikes, we can correct them as well. Bonding is a composite resin type material that is durable and looks realistic.
Fillings and Crowns
We can provide a patient with both fillings and crowns in one visit if necessary. The patient may need to make time for a longer appointment, but it will be better to go ahead and do both dental restorations while the patient is here than waiting for another appointment. We can complete fillings quickly, but crowns may take a little longer.
The crown will need to be made ahead of time by taking an impression at another appointment. If the patient needs a filling too, then the patient can wait until the crown is also ready and visit for both.
Crowns and Bridges
If the patient is already visiting to receive a dental bridge tooth replacement and has another tooth that is damaged, we can provide a crown for it during the same visit. Assuming the patient plans on getting a dental bridge, the patient will have an appointment to prepare the abutment teeth (the teeth on either side of the gap left by a missing tooth).
During this appointment, we can also take necessary impressions and measurements of the separate tooth that needs a crown. Once we create all the crowns and the bridge, the patient can visit our office for all of them during the same visit. The patient will need to be very careful eating and drinking following this appointment as he or she may have several sensitive, healing teeth in the mouth at once.
These are only a few of the dental restorations we can perform together. If you would like a longer list of what you can have done in the same appointment, give us a call at (302) 655-5862 or visit our dentistry office to learn more.
